A good day. The men folks planted tobacco all day. I drawed plants all the time that I could. Mrs. Owen drawed this evening.

Beatriss Owen went to Long Island to meet her cousin. She did not come.

Josie got dinner and churned. She picked straw berries for dinner.

Two of Carries children are sick. I am so sorry. Hope they may be well soon.

Paul Bennett commenced to work at Marvins to day. I do hope that they may make a good crop.

Cordie & Nettie Blair come here this evening. I did not see them.

A good day. Ben & Owen and Jim plowed some to day. Jim helped John Hutcherson thrash wheat this morning and planted him some pink beans this evening after they got up the hay.

Ben worked his water mellons vines late this evening.

Josie ironed & got dinner. I churned and washed a few things this morning. This evening I worked some button holes and mended a few things.

Lucius Gravely come here tonight on his way to the lodge. He had forgot that last Sunday was a fifth Sundy.

A cloudy day. This morning the fences washed down and away. I lost a 4 galons of milk besides lots of other damage. Josie got dinner. Nellie sowed some on Josies dress. Evylin straitened up the parlor. I churned. It was a hard matter to get a fire a bout eleven oclock.

Mr Glass and Mr Vonwagner come. They eat dinner here. Nell & Evylin went with them to Chatham.

The boys killed the bees in two hives this evening.

Jim & Ben and Mr Owen went to Renan this evening. There has bin three or four cars passed here today. The roads are very bad.

Josie & the children and I went to Marvins this evening.

Paul Bennett got the car in the creek and never got home until twelve to day.

A clear morning. A hard rain this evening. The branch was all out of the banks a gain. Jim & Nellie started to the Island. They had got as far as Arch Moons when the rain began to fall. When [it] quit so that they could, they come back home.

Josie got dinner. I churned this evening. Josie made Henry a blouse. I went to Marvins.

Alma was makeing Carrie a dress. Marvin went to the mill this morning. Did not get his grain ground.

Jim brought the olde hog this evening.

Clear this morning. A thunder sower this evening. The men folks plowed some this morning.

Josie got dinner & churned this morning. This evening she kept Eva Carries baby and Paul and Roy was here two. Mary Brumfield was here all the evening.

I went with Effie Brumfield to White Falls. We had Lees hors & buggy. We caught several fish. We got as far on our way home as Kate Harvey. Effie brought me as far on my way home as the forks of the road at Johnsons barns.

The Preachers come home with Marvin Smith tonight.

10:30 oclock

Kate Harvey comed my hair this evening while it was raining.
