The base moulding of the E. face of the E. wall of the Theatron is similar to the base mould of the Great temple. It is raised on three steps. The chief member, a broad cyma recta, is very steep.

The outer pilasters of the gate are raised upon high mouldings of the same height, but of different profile from the base moulding. The pilasters are ornamented with a large scale design between two fascia and two splay-fascias. At the bottom of the splay fascias are short thick leaves, The seale ornament terminated in a 1/2 circle of which undoubtably carried a capital. The fascias terminate in leaves which turn outward. The pedestals between the pilasters and jambs have been disented, the jambs also, Above the lintel which was found with a spread eagle on the soffit; was a relieving arch, richly moulded, and beneath the arch a section of frieze (returned about .15m) and, above this possibly the disfigured relief (insc.) A section of raking cornice was found. Fine horus head, a human head and several faces were found in the opening of the portal.
