[p.341] November 24 1949 Thurs. Typed. Shopped at village. Anne practicing basketball hard.

1950 Fri To Faculty Wives at Mrs. Smith's at 10:30. Shopped. Terrible blizzard and heavy snow. George Ferguson here for tea.

1951 Sat. Baked pies and fruit bread. With Hugh to shop. Anne on Biology club weekend. I to library in evening.

1952 Mon. Wrote notes. Radio fixed and connected. To bank and post office and to Mc Ilwraith's for tea. Dull and cold. Reading " John A. Macdonald.

1953 Tues. Worked in Reference library, shopped downtown. Had my hair done on Eglinton Ave. Anne playing basketball,

[p.342] November 25 1949 Fri. Hugh driving lesson. I to Luella's to supper - museum people and Jo Le Pan there. Nice. Very cold. Harold came back very late.

1950 Sat. Icy street, snow and high wind. Baked mince pies. Harold and I to dinner with Ferguson's at Park Plaza, they and Alex came here.

1951 Sun. Harold and I to [graduation] overseas students tea at 60 Lowther Ave. and on to tea at Mac Larens for President Trueman.

1952 Wrote notes. Letter from Marry. Anne and I met for lunch at Eaton's and shopped a little. Hugh and I to see " Hamlet".

1953 Worked all day at Reference library. Raining. Hugh out for dinner, Anne at basketball.

[p.343] November 26 1949 Sat. Anne's team beat Havergal - came 1st. Baked. Anne and I to see 4 act " Swan Lake" - Sadler's Wells ballet. Wonderful. Harold to Hamilton.

1950 Sun. Heavy snow. Worked on broadcast. Anne and Hugh out. Mary and I to church in evening.

1951 Mon. Washed. Read " The Masters" by Snow. Baked.

1952 Wed. To Fred Kemp's office to talk about pension. Met Bea Cassidy for lunch. Wrote broadcast. Cold and dull.

1953 Thurs. Worked on Fur Trade notes with Clark, Easterbrook and Mrs. Ward. To luncheon at Falconer Hall for past presidents of [University Arts Women's Club]. Very nice.

[p.344] November 27 1949 Heard symphony. Very cold. Harold left for Ottawa at 3. Hugh and I played double solitair.

1950 Worked. Heavy snow. Harold met Anne [Bezanson] and had dinner with her. Refrigerator broke down.

1951 Bruce phoned. Mary's son born! Cleaned house, baked. My club met here. Harold out for dinner.

1952 Wrote notes, sewed some. Very cold. To Enid Mc Gregor's with Lois Thomas for supper. Letter from Mary.

1953 Snow flurries. Brucie is 2. Worked in University library lunch with Bea Wallace and Mary White at Little Denmark. Anne playing basketball at [Bishop Strachan School].

[p.345] November 28 1949 Washed. To store. Hugh in bed with sore throat. Charlie took away yellow booth.

1950 Tues. Snow. Harold to dentist. Mary and I to class - pottery making at Central Tech. Mrs. Gordon and baker here for tea. Anne [Bezanson] here in evening.

1951 Had permanent. To lunch at Kay Daykin's. All wrote letters to Mary. Milder weather.

1952 Fri. Wrote notes. Mary letters came. Burton Kurstead came. Hugh and I to bank and library. Heard tribute to Harold by Donald [Creighton] on radio. Letter from Donald.

1953 Sat. Hazlett came. Offer made for house. Cool and bright. Hugh and Joan heard grey cup game on radio. To supper at Clark's with Under hill's
