Dear Sir. Hillsborough April 26 1775
Billy Cummings delivered the articles set forth in your letter and [Scrub} brought me some cow and fish without any [?]etter for both Thank you heartly. I [applyd] to Mr Cropley for his [trunk] and some time it was produces, perhaps the femal made some obligation ^(tho) amd not certain.[?] return the bags that came with the head, [?] and [coffee] which is all gone in the boroowing way. I propose to be with you some time tomorrow. my stay will be short as I am obliged to attend a [?]yal at Col[?] Harts' on Saturday. Meantime I beg you will give Mr Hines notice to meet me at [L.R.] on [Fryday] without fail, spare no expense. Mr [Hazy] seems indifferent about purchasing the gray horse,
so that I have little expectation of selling Scrub might have set off soon enough to have got home this evening, but part is owing to his own neglect and the rest to me however he is to start very early in the morning_ Pray excuse me I am much hurried, and what I have further to say shall refer[tite?] meeting, mean time [Jremcim} truly from your very [?] friend, William Johnston
