COUNCIL CHAMBER DECEMBER 14TH, 1922.
The Council met in regular sessionon this date, with the following Council-men present, Brown, Joachim and Morris.

Minutes of November 20th were read and approved.

Mr. Merrifield was granted the privilefe of the floor to ask that an appropriation be made to entertian the Vistors of the Virginia State Horticulture Society same was fully discussed and decied in the negative.

Petition for stage in the Armory
A petition from members of a local Dramatice Organization requesting that a stage be built in the armory when same is remodeled was referred to the Business Manager for consideration.

Water, gas swer main for new school site.
A communication from James G. Johnson, Superintendent of School, regarding the location of Street grades, curb lines, sewer water and gas mains around the new school site on 14th s=St was referred to the Business Manger with instructions to have this request complied with at soon as possible.

Hog Ordinance extended.
Upon motion by Mr. Brown duly seconded by Mr. Joachim the enforcement of the Hog ordinance was delayed until January 15th, 1923.

An Ordinance requiring Bernable & Un- to be burnable refuse be Separated.
An ordinance entitled "An Ordinance requiring burnable and unburnable refuse is to be place in separate receptacles" was read and upon the rule being despensed with was adopted by the following recorded vote, Ayes, Brown, Joachim and Morris, Noes, None.

Upon motion by Mr. Brown duly seconded by Mr. Hoachim, the bills for copying registration books at ten cent per name be paid as presented.

Tax on Dairymen.
The City Attorney was requested to render an opinion as to the legality of charging a license tax on dairymen.

Upon motion the meeting adjourned.
