COUNCIL CHAMBER DECEMBER 14TH, 1922.
The Council met in regular session on this date, with the following Council-men present, Brown, Joachim and Morris.

Minutes of November 20th were read and approved.

Mr. Merrifield was granted the privilege of the floor to ask that an appropriation
be made to entertain the Vistors of the Virginia State Horticulture Society
same was fully discussed and decied in the negative.

Petition for stage in the Armory
A petition from members of a local Dramatic Organization requesting that a
stage be built in the armory when same is remodeled was referred to the Business Manager
for consideration.

Water, gas sewer main for new school site
A communication from James G. Johnson, Superintendent of School, regarding
the location of Street grades, curb lines, sewer water and gas mains around the new school
site on 14th St was referred to the Business Manger with instructions to have this request complied
with at soon as possible.

Hog Ordinance extended.
Upon motion by Mr. Brown duly seconded by Mr. Joachim the enforcement of the
Hog ordinance was delayed until January 15th, 1923.

An Ordinance requiring Burnable & Un- to be burnable refuse be Separated.
An ordinance entitled "An Ordinance requiring burnable and unburnable refuse
to be place in separate receptacles" was read and upon the rules being despensed with
was adopted by the following recorded vote, Ayes, Brown, Joachim and Morris, Noes, None.

Upon motion by Mr. Brown duly seconded by Mr. Hoachim, the bills for copying
registration books at ten cent per name be paid as presented.

Tax on Dairymen.
The City Attorney was requested to render an opinion as to the legality of
charging a license tax on dairymen.

Upon motion the meeting adjourned.

COUNCIL CHAMBER DECEMBER 15TH, 1922.
A Special meeting of the Council was held on this date "To consider contract
between the City of Charlottesville and the University of Virginia and County of Atl on joint health department
and any other matters that may come up by unamious consent," with the following
Councilmen present, Brown and Morris

Dedication of the Sts. on Altamont Circle.
The following resolution offered by Mr. Brown was adopted,
Resolution accepting the Dedication of the Streets on Altamont Circles.
WHEREAS. all the property owners on Altamont Circle have petitioned that the
City accept the streets on Altamont Circle as shown on plat of Altamont sub-divison
recorded in the Clerk's Office of the Corporation Court of the City of Charlottesville in
D. B. 20 P. 100, said streets having been duly dedicated to public use as evidenced by the
recordation of said plat.

NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Council of the City of Charlottesville
that the dedication of the said Streets be accepted by the City.

The following resolution offered by Mr. Brown was adopted:

BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville tht the offer of
the property owners on Altamont Circle to pay 1/3 of the cost of resurfacing the streets
