To the Honorable Mayor and City Council of the City of Fort Worth.

Gentlemen:-

Now comes Adolphus Busch and respectfully shows to your honorable body that he is the owner of the south half of Block 2 Saunders Addition to the city of Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas fronting south on Front Street, also called Railroad Avenue, east on Taylor Street and west on Lamar Street. That the present map of the city of Fort Worth prepared by John B Hawley, engineer, and adopted by your honorable body as the official map of the City of Fort Worth shows that there is an alley running through the middle of said block in the direction of north and south. That the south part of said alley running through petitioner's property has been closed for traffic from immemorial times.

That for the propose of straightening out the record, your petitioner respectfully asks that your honorable body pass a resolution closing said alley in the south half of the said Block No. 2 of said Saunders Addition, and your petitioner is consideration of said order and in the closing of said alley for the purpose of releiving the public, agrees to dedicate in such manner and form as shall be decided by you a twelve foot alley off of the south end of Lot No. 5 in said Block for alley purposes so as to connect the alley remaining in the north half of said Block 2 with outlet to Lamar Street. That the people now have no outlet to Lamar Street and the alley is not wide enough for two vehicles to pass conveniently and therefore the public will be assured of having a convenient exit by way of said proposed alley.

Respectfully submitted,

Adolphus Busch By Geo Diehl Agent

FORT WORTH TEXAS AUGUST 6th, I9o6.

Hon Mayor, and Board of Aldermen.

Gentlemen.

Whereas on March I9th, I9o6 this Council after due consideration adopted the Fire Committees report stating that it was absolutely necessary that two new fire stations ( one for the 7th, ward, and one for the 8th ward ) be built at once in order that fire protec-tion could be given to large and thickly settled, and growing parts of the city, but the most urgent necessity existed for the building of the 8th ward sxx station at that time,

And whereas said 8th ward station has been built, and the demand for the 7th ward station is now greater than when aforesaid report was made, and whereas a public spirited citizen is ready to donate a suitable lot in a suitable location to erect thereon a fire station for said 7th ward, and same ca n be built on such time as may be desired by the city at 8% interest at at a cash price,

Now therefore be it re-solved that the Mayor, and city Secretary be authorized, and in-structed to enter into contract with the same contractor that built the 8th ward fire station, for a duplication for the 8th ward fire station for the 7th ward, and upon the signing of said contract the Engineer and Fire Committee are instructed to proceed at once, and complete at the ear/liest moment the fire stations for the 7th wa Ward.
