JOHN B. HAWLEY, CONSULTING ENGINEER, MEMBER AMERICAN SOCIETY CIVIL ENGINEERS, MEMBER ENGINEERING ASSOCIATION OF THE SOUTH, MEMBER TEXAS ASSOCIATION CIVIL ENGINEERS.

FORT WORTH, TEXAS, Mar 3, 1906. 1905

Hon. B. L. Waggoman, Chairman, Street & Alley Committee, City.

Sir:-

In the matter of the proposed opening of Burford Street, across the Fort Worth and Rio Grande Ry., I have the honor to report:

That, in my judgment, this crossing should not be made, for the following reasons:

The proposed point of crossing is in a cut, and at a point of curvature, a very dangerous combination.

There is a first-class crossing only two hundred feet south of the point in question, to-wit: Creswell St., and Creswell St. lies wholly within the City limits, as shown by the deed of its dedication, dated May 15, 1889.

I respectfully recommend that Burford Street be not opened across the Railway.

Respectfully, John B. Hawley City Engineer.
