To the City Council

In order that there may be sufficient time for the auditor - the claims committee and anyone else desiring to do so, to examine the claims for current expenses which are usually allowed at the second regular meeting of the Council in each month recommend that a resolution be passed requiring that all such claims shall be filed with the Auditor on or before the 8th of the month & if not so filed be postponed to the following month.

This not to apply to emergency bills and as freight bills &c nor to weekly payroll.
