To the Honorable Mayor and City Council of the city of Fort Worth.
Gentlemen:
Referring to the attached petition, I will state that in the matter of compelling sewer connecting I have heretofore taken the position that same can be done under our present ordinances. There has been some cloud cast upon these ordinances heretofore, but I am of opinion that the matter should be tested and if the ordinances should be held to be invalid by the courts, that new ones be passed, as I regard it as a matter of great importance.
Some year or two ago the sanitary officer upon my advice instituted quite a number of prosecutions, and in each and every case the sewer connection was properly made as required, and I believe now that the same course will be taken.
Respectfully submitted,
EC Orrick City Atty
