Ft. Worth, Tex., Oct 2, 1905.
To the Hon. T. J. Powell, Mayor, Board of Aldermen, City of Ft. Worth, Tex.
Gentlemen:
We, Members of your Equilization Board, who have done earnest work for 86 days in behalf of the city of Ft. Worth, and our report will show to you the earnestness will of which we have worked. The assessed value have been increased about $1, 900.000, about equally divided between real and personal property. We sustain the City Assessor in almost all assessments, and raise the rendition of personal property nearly one million.
We have worked for a very small allowance and we think that we should have an additional pay of $2.00 for each day's work, which would give us ($172.00) each. We would not ask for this allowance, if we did not know thegreat benefits of our labor for the city. We hope that you will agree with us that we are entitled to this extra compensation, and for which we will ever hold you in high esteem. We are,
Very Respectfully,
W.L. Ligon JJ Roche E.W. Taylor
