Fort Worth Texas, April 5th 1901

To Honorable T. J. Powell, Mayor and members of the City Council of Fort Worth, Texas.

Gentlemen

In accordance with Section 10 Article 3 of the Charter of the City of Fort Worth I beg to submit the following bids for the office of Treasurer of the City of Fort Worth for the ensuing term of two years. Said bids are numbered 1. 2. 3. each being submitted as a separate and independent bid to be considered and acted upon independently of each other.

Bid No. 1. I will pay the City of Fort Worth interest on the Daily Balances in my hands as Treasurer of the rate of (3%) three per cent per annum beginning on receipt of proper notice of the acceptance of this proposition and continuing during the term for which Treasurer shall be elected. Said interest to be paid monthly as it accrues. On loans or overdrafts which the City of Fort Worth shall obtain from or through me I will charge interest to the rate of (6%) six per cent per annum.

Bid No. 2. I will pay the City of Fort Worth interest on its Daily Balances in my hands as Treasurer at the rate of (3½%) three and one half per cent per annum for the period of six moths beginning June 1st 1901 and ending Nov. 30th 1901 and for the period of six months beginning June 1st 1902 and ending Nov. 30th 1902; and interest at the rate of (2½%) two and one half per cent per annum for the time beginning with the acceptance of this bid and ending May 31st 1901 and at the same rate for the period of six months beginning Dec. 1st 1901 and ending June 1st 1902 and

at the same rate for the time beginning Dec. 1st 1902 and continuing until my term of office expires.

Said interest to be paid to the city on the 1st day of each month as it accrues.

On all loans made to the City by or through me whether in the nature of overdradts, warrants carried or notes discounted I will charge the City interest at the rate of (4%) four per cent per annum.

Bid No. 3. I will pay to the City of Fort Worth interest on its Daily Balances in my hand as Treasurer at the rate of (3½%) three and one half per cent per annum on its Daily Balances up to ($50,000) Fifty Thousand Dollars and at the rate of (3%) three per cent per annum on its balances in excess of $50,000 and up to ($100,000) One Hundred Thousand Dollars, and interest at the rate of (2%) 2 per cent per annum on its balances in excess of ($100,000) One Hundred Thousand Dollars.

Said interest to be paid to the City on the 1st day of each month as it accrues.

On all loans made to the City by or through me whether by overdraft notes discounted or warrants carried I wil charge the City interest at a rate of (7%) seven per cent per annum.

Should either of the foregoing bids be accepted I will qualify and furnish bond promptly as required by law.

We the Finance Committee to whom was referred the petition bids for the office of City Treasurer recommend that bid No. 1 of W. B. Harrison be accepted offering three per cent per annum on the daily balances of the City in his hands accepted — the same being the higest and best bid received.

Provided however that the City shall be at no expense in the making of the bond to be furnished by the said W. B. Harrison

To The Honorable City Council of Fort Worth, Texas.

Gentlemen:-

I beg to submit for your consideration my application for the office of City Treasurer of Fort Worth, Texas, and if honored with said office I agree to pay interest on daily balanes - even hundreds - at the rate of two per cent. (2%) per annum, and to compute and pay the interest at the end of each month.

I am prepared to furnished such bond as is required.
