Demonstration School presented beautifully "A Pageant of Books." A rising vote of thanks was [?] the committee and all on the program for the attendance [illegible] Mrs. {?} reported that the club had been invited to have a float in the Armistice Day Parade, but inasmuch as the cost would be considerable it was decided to keep the money for the milk fund for undernourished children. Board Meeting, Jan. 11, 1933-

The Board of the Talahassee Woman's Club met at the home of Mrs. Rivers, Jan. 11with Mrs. Rivers presidingthe question of club house rates and rules was brought up and discussed at length, there being requests from Sororities at the college for the use of this house at club memberr rates. Mrs. Boone moved Mrs. Duval seconded that the club house committee get together with the treasurer of the club to revise and make the rules more

specific as to charges. Mr. Shriver, of the commission of the Century of Progress was then introduced by Mrs. Rivers and a letter from Mrs. N. C. Hodges. He explain ed the plan and offfered the Club the opportunity to sell Century of Progress stickers; the club to receive 15%. Any person purchasing one dollar's worth to receive a receipt which allows them a chance on one of the many cash prizes. Mrs. Moor moved, Mrs. [?] seconded, that the Board recorded favorable acttion on the proposition. Board requested that Mrs. Duval and Mrs. Knapp plant flowers and seed on vacant lot back of Club house, the flowers to be used in the Club house.

The minutes of the last meeting were read and approved. The treasure's report was read as follows:

House Fund - $42.09 Checking Fund - 75.23 Conservation - 2.00 Beautification - 71.28 Welfare - 84.45

Mr. Shriver, representative of the Century of Process Committee, was presented to the Club by the president, and spoke for a few minutes about the Club undertaking the selling of "[?] Stamps" to raise money for carrying on the work of the Fla. Committee, this club to receive 15 % of all monies collected from such sale. [illegible] motion by Mrs. Poutare [?] seeconded by Mrs. Moor, the club votedd to undertake the sale of $200.00 of stamps. A letter from Mrs. Wilson was read in which she urged that club women study carefully every phase of taxes, where the money is to come from, where to go etc so that intelligent co-operation may be given the legislative committee during the coming session.
