Rain this morning. Clear tonight. Ben Paul and Henry and I tied primings this morning and Josie helped this evening as long as we could tie. They dried out. Josie got dinner.

Ben and Paul went to Lee Brumfields this evening. The buggy wheel broke as they come home.

I went to see Pauls tobacco this evening for the first time. It looks good to me. I am glad of the good crop that is on the place hope it can be taken care of and may do all a lot of good.

A beautiful day.

Ben and Paul suckered tobacco. Josie got dinner and canned some tomatoes. This evening she scrubbed the cook room floor.

I went to see Mollie Reynolds. She is not well but a bout.

I did not see Miss Kate or Mrs Jane they were taking their evening nap. Doris Brumfield and Christine Reynolds and Delma Owen come to Marvins a while this evening.

A good day. They cut a house of tobacco for Mr Owen to day. Brand(?) and James(?) Dews helped them. Josie made some damson preserves this morning and ironed some. I canned a few tomatoes this evening.

Josie and I was eating water mellon this evening when a car come. Jim B and Zack Adkins and Mr and Mrs Smith was on it. They come in a few minutes.

Jim Brumfield staid on he is here tonight. [ink smear] I went to sleep and marked my book.

A good day. The men folks finished cutting a house of tobacco. Jim Brumfield helped them finish.

Josie ironed.

This evening Lizzie and Earl Bennett come. I was glad that they did. Paul and Earl went off some where to night. Ben and Jim went to Strait Stone to night.

A good day and a good rain to night. Ben has fired tobacco all day and is at the barn tonight.

Lizzie Bennett spent the day at Marvins today.

I tied tobacco nearly all day. Mr Owen and Paul tied two. Mrs Owen and Josie helped this evening.

Josie got dinner and made a kettle of preserves of some peaches that Lizzie brought us.
