A day that all could work. Jim & Ben and Mr Owen sawed wood then went to Marvins and cut some feed.

Josie got dinner. She made the sausage for Jim and her self. Bettie Haley (col) helped to cut the fat up and grind the sausage. I dried up the lard and strained it out. Bettie wshed the faces and feet.

Heard to day that Mrs Richard Wooding has a son.

Sallie Blair taught school in Miss Smiths room today.

Mrs Car sent Bessie Callans (col) a ring. She got it today.

Mr Owen went to the mill today. Brough me some brand. Jim & Ben & Josie played cards to night.

A good day. A big frost this morning. Ben plowed. Jim split wood. Josie made me a dress today. I went to Kate Harveys and to Renan store. Come by Reynols to see them. Julia Fergerson looks bad. Mildred is a fine childe. They had a play at the school house this evening and tonight. The children was there. this evening. Ben & Josie has gone tonight. Jim and I and the children staid at home.

Today is the last day of this term. Gordon McCormic, Mrs Sallie Blair, Mrs Evylin Hutcherson & Miss Eliz Porter was the teacher.

A good day. Jim & Ben finished cutting oats and went to night after supper to cap them. They hope that it will rain by morning. They got up some rye this evening. Josie went to see Julia Fergerson & her baby this morning.

Carrie & all of her children and I went to see Julia this evening. They had a lot of company. Grace Brumfield & Sallie Blair, Kate Harvey, Alice Thomson and all of her children and I went to Mollies but I did hear any news of importance.

A good day. A little rain this morning. John & Edwin went from here this mornin. Ben & Jim worked on the floor all day. Ben went for cement late this evening. Josie went with him. The children staid at Marvins. I went to George Blairs this evening. They had a lot of company.

Lettie & her children was there. Mrs Anderson & Maud and Lizzie, Sallie Blair, Letcher and Ernest Craddock. Tim and Lizzie Bennett come by on their way home from the Red House.

Georges folks had plenty of water mellons. They had a nice supper ready. I don't know how many eat. I had to come home.

A little rain this morning. Clear this evening. Ben & Jim and Henry went to work in the tobacco this morning. Word came that Miss Ursal[?] Lewis was lost from the milkin place. The boys from here and all over the neighborhood went to look for her. They found her unharmed. She just went a way because she was mad. Josie raked and worked on the yard. I was afraid she would be sick. Denia & Sallie Blair come here this evening. I was at Johnson Reynols. They had a crowd this evening. Mrs Kellie & Grace Brumfield & Mrs Dr Owen and six children, Kate Harvey and I. They had plenty of water mellons. Two men was going to speak at Renan school house tonight.
