A good day. Ben worked at Eanes's. Jim plowed all day.

The children went to school. Josie washed the dineing room floor & hall steps. Cleane up all the morning. I churned & and killed a chicken and cooked it for dinner. Josie baked a cake this evening.

Mollie Reynols come a while. I walked with her as far as Marvins. The boys has gone to Marvins to tie tobacco. Henry & Josie has bin haveing toothache. I am sorrie for them.

I peiced on my quilt. Had thought to finish it this week but I know now that I will not finish it. Today is Reese Smiths birth day.

A good day. Ben went to Eanes to work. Jim plowed. Ben come home and went for the teacers. Miss Fergerson & Miss Treer & Effie Brumfield. The proffesor did not come. John Brumfield come this evening. I am glad that he come. Ben carried the ladies home. Josie went with him. Josie cooked supper for them.

Marvin went to John Smiths this evening. Carried all the children. I went as far as Mr Johnsons. Paul Smith and I staid at the river. Marvin bought four pigs from Mr John Smith. Hope he may have good luck with them.

A good day. Ben went to Eanes's to finish the job of tining his house. Come home at twelve. Jim plowed all the morning. This evening they cut a log to carry to the saw mill. To night Mr Fretwell is here to spend the night. Josie sowed some. She has bin complaining of the tooth ache some today. The children went to school to day. I went to Marvins a little while.

Carrie was very much complaining.

Thursday September 29, 1921

A good day. Jim plowed and Ben went to the saw mill twice. Carried two logs & brought back lumber.

Josie washed a big washing. Kate Harvey come and spent the day. I was glad to see her. A picture agent come here to day. Agents is plentyful now.

I walked with Kate as far as Marvins. Marvin was stripping tobacco.

Tonight Edna broke a chamber vessel and let Mabel fall off the bed then had a good cry and went to sleep.

Jim and Ben helped Marvin tie tobacco tonight. I carried Carries quilt home this evening.

A cool windy day. Ben & Jim cut a log and Ben went to the saw mill. He brought lumber back when he come. Jim and Marvin plowed some this evening. Mr Cothron[?] come to see Josie this evening. He wanted her dues on the church.

Josie and I was starting to Marvins. They carried us on the car that far. I was glad of the ride as Josie would had to carrie Mabel all the way.
