A cloudy day. Some rain. Ben plowed some. Henry and Edna went to school. Josie got dinner. She baked a cake for Sunday.

I ironed some and Josie some. Mabel has cried a lot today. I have not seen any of Marvins people today. I miss them. There has bin less passing today than usual. I have not seen a car pass today.

A good day. Jim plowed. Ben went to Altavista to have his teeth worked on. He got his worke done. Henry went with Ben.

Josie washed and ironed a silk shirt for Jim. We had turnip salit for dinner. The boys have a nice bed of salit.

I have bin at home all day and no one come. Was thinkin that John might come. Hope he will come soon.

A clear colde day. Vegetation was partly frozen. All tender things was bitten by the colde. Jim mauled. Ben plowed. Josie straitened up the house and got dinner. I ironed some this morning. Josie went to Marvins. I went to George Blairs.

Kate Harvey came to Marvins this evening. She brought Carrie and I a bonnets. I am glad of mine for I needed it. Henry & Edna went to school.

A good day. A big frost this morning. Ben plowed. Jim split wood. Josie made me a dress today. I went to Kate Harveys and to Renan store. Come by Reynols to see them. Julia Fergerson looks bad. Mildred is a fine childe. They had a play at the school house this evening and tonight. The children was there. this evening. Ben & Josie has gone tonight. Jim and I and the children staid at home.

Today is the last day of this term. Gordon McCormic, Mrs Sallie Blair, Mrs Evylin Hutcherson & Miss Eliz Porter was the teacher.

Tuesday April 26, 1921

A good day. Very warm this evening. A thunder cloud now at 8 oclock. Ben plowed today. Jim plowed the garden and worked it with the hoe. Josie and I washed this morning. Josie got dinner. Carrie washed with their new washer. They are pleased with it.

Josie and the children all but Edna went to Marvins.

Josie washed the dineing room floor be fore she went. Reese carried Edna and I to White Falls. I caught three fish. Reese caught one. There was at least a dozen people at the river. I guess all had a good time if they did not get many fish.

The Mt Airy school closed to day.
