Tuesday March 29, 1921

A clear colde day. There was ice this morning. I am expecting the fruit to be killed tonight.

Jim has not come yet. We dont know what to think is the matter. Ben cleaned up the land and plowed some today. Henry and Edna went to school today. They are in this room a sleep to night.

I sowed a border on Effies quilt to day. Josie got some salit for dinner to day. She worked on a dress for Mabel a while this evening. I went to Marvins a few minutes this evening. Carrie had finished a dress for Hazel.

Monday April 4, 1921

A good day. Ben & Jim plowed until dinner then Ben carried Josie & the two little children and I to Chatham. Josie and the children stoped at Nellies. Ben & I went to Mr Oaks burial. There was a large crowd there. Elder Boaz talked at the house and they sung a song at the grave. Heard that Mrs Mills died this morning. She was at her sisters when she died.

Henry and Edna went to school today. They stopped at Marvins and they eat supper there.

A good day. Ben & Jim plowed most of the day. Jim made a hot bed late this evening. Josie got dinner. Had a nice dinner for this time of year. I washed a little.

Cordie Blair come this evening. I was very glad to see her. I wish they would come often. I went to Marvins a few minutes late this evening. Carrie had washed.

Henry and Edna went to school and come back by the store.

Two men come here this evening. They wanted to put lights in the house.

A good day. Ben & Jim plowed all day. Josie and done a round[?] as usual. We went to Marvins this evening. Carrie was makeing Roy a suit. Josie worked button holes in Franklins clothes while she was at Carries. Josie baked light bread for supper.

Mollie Reynols & Julia Fergerson come from Portsmot to day.

Mrs Walter Mills was buried this evening. Henry & Edna went to school to day. Paul Smith & Henry Brumfield traded a type writer for and organ to grind. Jim made hot bed today.

A good day. Ben and Jim plowed all day. Jim plowed in the garden.

Josie washed a big washing for her. I got dinner. We had plant bed salit the first time this year. Josie made Edna a pettie coat. Finished it ready to wear.

I went to Marvins. They were gone to Renan. I staid there until they come back. Henry went to school. Edna staid to take care of Mabel.
