[Friday, February 2, 1951]

Up at 5:45 out of train at 6 +. Porter 1.50. hotel red cap 50. tips breakfast and lunch .80 Good and cold outside, rehearsal at 3:30 dinner tip .40, then concert not too bad. Eric Leinsdorf and his wife were there and wanted us for a party afterwards. We could not accept. Martha Davis returned to hotel with us and waited until I dressed for the train. We had a snack at the station and boarded the train. Porter .65 Pullman porter for moving me to another car .75 magazine .25 Retired at [11?] Flowers from M. Davis, .25 tip bell boy. Wire to Mr Crawford 1.16

[Saturday, February 3, 1951]

Our car not picked up 'til 4:20 A.M. Arrived New York 5 hrs late. Porter 1.50 breakfast on train red cap .75 baggage man .50 porter .75 call to New Haven .55 to Danbury .50 three town calls .36 taxi uptown 2.25 2 calls to Lonnie 2 to Grand Central and Gwen Carter, taxi back down town 2.15 pastry 2.19 lunch yogurt and cakes .65 ticket to Danbury 2.56 magazines .35 gum .05 porter 1.00 taxi home from Danbury 1.75 Monica here. Dinner at 7, T.V Ceasar and Coca Retired at 12. Help with bags from train .50

[Sunday February 4, 1951]

Up at 9:15 my day on. Bathed, prepared breakfast with help of Freibe and Monica and cleaned up. Took care of both acquariums, had snack. Went to studio for short while Freibe took Monica to Danbury and she took a short nap in the afternoon. Prepared dinner at 7. Toast of Town with Margot Fonteyn. Refreshments. Retired at 12 +

[Monday, February 5, 1951]

Up at 8:50 bathed. Freibe Monica and I had breakfast. I packed [Ockie?] came. Freibe returned from town with cosmetics purchases $11.00 + cleaning 15.00 I left [Ockie?] while I dressed. Thurstou took Monica at it to school. Freibe and I got to New York early and I went to the [Rupps?], then to N.B.C. saw Mardo Brown there. Hung my dress up, then bot hairnets etc 1.20, then back to rehearsal and it was good. Freibe and I had dinner at Davey Jones Telephone performance not good. We got Falla for Mickeys drove directly home arriving before midnight. toll, .40 Retired, 1:30 car allowance to NY and return 25.00

[Tuesday February 6, 1951]

Up at 9, b. and began assembling things for tour. Breakfast at 10:30 then to studio for music, straightened up down there. At main house arranged music and cleaned off piano. Phoned order to Merrills, Freibe paid 11.30 medicine 16.00 (gave 15.00) Practically finished packing by dinner time then went to Dr Mandl. Bot vitamins 7.00 at Kinners. Back home made out checks to Freibe 13.20 Marianna Farm 500.00 and - other bills. Went upstairs at 12, did odds and ends, listened to Marion Kerby records and retired at 2:30 A.M.
