5:30 Load up car. Last minute stuff

5:45 Go to air port via QFC.

Nice flight down reading about Pacific NW light & ski articles Floyd Ragous gave me.

10:15 Met Stuart Stein at Reno.

Went to Carrow's for dinner, and he told me, rather aggressively, about his new consulting business.

11:45 Met Jim Thomas who was short but so so cute. Tight Lauds & nice!

Drove out of Reno for Tahoe.

Full moon & clear skies.

Beautiful views. Some snow.

Hard time finding condo. Car gets stuck in driveway of wrong one.

Eventually find everyone at Crystal Shores West. Since Mark was already sleeping in Ron's room, I had to sleep in Jim's.

3:00 It was very hard to sleep, even after taking a unisom & jerking off. And I woke up with bad indigestion. Was this a test of my not sleeping with Mark's friends?

Sat, Feb 14, Val Day.

But after Rolaids I was ok.

Drove up to Northstar. Good skiing.

Pretty day, and they serve baked potatoes for lunch. Perfect.

Was a little flat & unchallenging but that was probably good for those guys whose first time of season this was.

Eventually found the back of mountain and that had some good runs: Burnout.

3:45 But that was the end of the day.

And then we went all the way down, but I had to go up again on Gondola to get my goggles & ski hat.

Drive home with Stuart & Rom & Mark.

Quite tired. Just watched 227 (with Sandra & Pee Wee Herman) & Golden Girls.

Have chicken & stove top stuffing & Valentines cupcakes.

Watched Star Wars. Great special effects.

Went with Stuart & Mark to casino to watch Stuart bet & got hang of it.

By the slot machines, I won $40. Great!

2:30 Go home, and it's snowing.

Good night's sleep! Eight hours!

Great dreams, probably due to codeine.

[cut off]:00 Decide to get ready in a hurry and drive to Hyatt & take bus to Alpine Meadows.

[cut off]:30 Bus finally leaves.

Read Gaming rules, asking Stuart questions.

Pretty darn snowy at Alpine and my eyes got super frozen at the top.

Go back down. Have popcorn & pasta salad.

Buy Carrera goggles. Grey green tint. Great!

That keeps me much, much warmer.

And then we found the Weasel Chair, and Scotts run chair and the yellow chair, all three in one area. Quite nice.

4:00 Have a beer & popcorn.

4:30 Go home on bus.

Read Rolling Stone. Pee Wee Herman!

6:30 Get cleaned up.

8:30 Dinner at Steven's. Not such a hit with me.

Mark dominated the conversation.

Not much emotion or sensitivity.

I felt underdressed comparatively.

Didn't feel strong emotion to Mark.

Talked with Alex a while ~ San Juan, Puerto Rico.

(Invited me to go sometime.)

11:00 Go out to gamble and start out winning, and I should've stopped to review rules and do something more interesting but I lost then. It wasn't much fun.

1:30 Home & to bed.

Mon, Feb 16, Pres Day.

Beautiful morning on the lake. Laying in bed with Mark and Jim, and then just with Jimmy. Nice. Get up & shower & oatmeal & egg. Get packed up. Take pictures at the beach below the condo.

11:00 Leave for Hyatt. Bus is full.

11:15 Play crap a half hour. Win $6.

11:45 Lunch with Ron Kollen. Nice guy. Mammoth Resort is 2 1/2 hours away.

12:45 Bus trip to airport. Nice talk.

1:45 Check skis. Have a drink. Win $15!

2:15 Play quarter a bit. Say bye to Ron. Remember I must check in!

2:27 Maybe too late she says! Eight others ahead. I'm pissed because its too close to 2:35 to get overbooking benefits? I stew awhile. Not feel like gambling

3:00 But I get on & we leave. Read "M."

5:45 Get home, listening to Giuseppe Tartini. Put stuff away. Call mom. Write up last few days. Make & eat dinner.

8:00 Go to Microsoft to write Progress Report. Do some email (& list), and mail

9:30 Go home. Misc

10:15 Go to bed, after a very chaotic day.

9:45 Go to parents for Dad's 45 anniv luncheon.

11:00 Limo ride to corp headquarters. Very tacky decor. Early 60s.

11:30 Nice dining room, but only Hi-C cocktails. Lunch was beef Wellington. Can you imagine!

12:00 Sitting across from Dean Thornton, President of Commercial Aircraft. Not much for small talk, but enjoyed talking about skiing & Microsoft.

First thing he asked was "Do you have stock?" And so I launched into being employee #1.

Dad got his awards & watch. They took pictures.

[time cut off] Go back home via limosine. Talk with Mom & Dad.

[time cut off] Misc: Email, download, print. Resync, diff & backup list ww wwspec. Read Infoworld, making notes to myself to review & consolidate thoughts on integration in Works & D05286 & Windows before going on to printing code

[time cut off] Remove FAR (sight) directory and object files from WIMP to recover space on my hard disk. Copy DBMS doc from biff & glance at it.

10:45 Leave for home. Have half a Dove bar.

10:00 Debug keyboard code. Call Bob. See him tomorrow. Call for Menoxidil. Dr K will prescribe. Call Andi for recall info: Wait for letter. Integrate scrolling and dragging with KBD.

10:30 Start to consider going home. Reread email from Bill ~ Lotus 'Jim Mauz.' Go home. Eat other half of Dove Bar. Watching Perry King on Joan Rivers.

11:00 Leave, stopping at Hillcrest for Monoxidil and stop at Foto Stop for pictures & film and at QFC for food. Put clothes away from laundry. Respond to phone message: missed chirop. Have a snack. Put groceries away.

12:30 Chiropractors appointment. Ask him about left rib, and read in WSJ ~ what really constitutes insider trading.

1:00 Make & eat lunch, writing up since Tuesday morning.

2:15 Read WSJ ~ Catholics & homos.

2:30 Misc. cleanup, organizational, schedule.

3:15 Shower for work. Clean up.

4:00 Snack

4:15 Go to work via chiro to drop off claim form. And get gas & car wash

5:15 Call Henry. No skiing. Felt like schmuck

5:30 Resync, etc

6:30 Debugged non control-key stuff in sheet.c's char WS, & code shift F6. Look all throughout old sheet.c to see if it's all carried over.
