10:15 Go to dental appt. They've moved office & I can't find it. So I missed appointment, but I'm not feeling like going into work for 1 hr, and then go to lunch, so

11:15 Go to lunch & make appt with Hill just to have him look at exposed tooth and see new office & see if he has stereo.

12:00 Finish thinking about my focus on Works

1:30 Look at all Works WP code to see what I should learn & what to avoid.

3:45 Read wppage.c & map it.

5:00 Head over to city for dinner with Mark and go to see Platoon (7:20). Walk around Westlake demolition, drinks at Olivers. Mark just turned 27! Pretty goood time, but not inspired.

11:00 Go back to his place & watch news.

11:30 Go to sleep (no sex)

Oatmeal at hotel.

8:00 Leave but get $15 parking ticket in McDonald's loading zone, and when I get home, Mark calls: left contact lenses!

8:15 So that knocks a hole in morning wkout. Go back to Westin. Back home.

8:45 Look at Dr. Hodge's (Irvine) records, but he didn't send me crucial one, so I call and find out he did #17 in Sept '80. Shower, shave, etc

10:00 Misc

10:15 Go to work.

10:45 Resync, remake while away

11:00 Consult dentist ~ crowns.

12:00 Fix up colors again and find another solution to not putting up scroll bars before sheet. Talk with Ed, Jabe resolving up printing issues. Resync, remake, list, backup. Clean up hard disk a bit. So now I'm ready to really focus on learning what I need to know about WP.

8:00 Quick dinner at Wendy's. Study 80286/80386 Assembly book to see what 286 added to 8086 (not much except for OS stuff) and what 80386 adds to 286 quite a bit in terms of data word size (32 bits) and addressing extent. It's a good thing to know. Also study 80287 chapter of book.

12:00 Leave for home.

9:30 Do some mail. Organize tax & dental. One load of laundry.

10:30 Go to gym. See Dave Dykowsky & Tom Allen

12:15 Home for lunch

1:15 Go to airport to pick up mom & dad. Good time. Paid for shirt. Gave calendar. Got cookbook (Sunset). Red MBG's letter.

3:30 Go downtown to shop. Bought jeans & shirts & Harvard sweatshirt. Bought high top Nikes. Saw Westlake Mall demolition, great!

5:00 At home, watch "All Hands on Dick." Wash new jeans with old. Misc.

5:45 Make and eat dinner, reading Bisexuality in Weekly "Steve is so improbably handsome & finely proportioned that it is hard not to stare at him." Wash another load. Go get Kleenex for car & Nyquil. Pay bills. Robt Galinna calls.

9:00 Watch Gold Girls while snacking on ice cream & root beer liqueur. Not so hot. Draw a bath

9:30 Shave legs & dress to go to P.O. Try out new shoes & new 33/33. OK!!!

10:05 Go to P.O. to mail payments

10:30 Decide not to go out

- want to work tomorrow & be wide awake

- wouldn't gone to Vancouver to go out

- don't want to go to Neighbors, Tubs, or Sparks

- Encore is dead now, at this time of night.

- Tubs is not for my mood now

- Been admistrating all night. Cleaned up.

- In mood to enjoy being caught up, go to sleep.

- Rainy outside

- Not in shape, not tan, weak diet.

- Tomorrow will be rainy - good day to work

9:00 Get up. Misc. Read Mac World at breakfast. Felt good to have to rush. Realized my lack of interest in problems that databases (like Omnis 3) help solve like acctg, inventory, billing. This is an old thought, I checked to see if it was in my old analysis of last fall that I did with Mac Word. It was!! Finish Mac World.

9:30 Go to work.

10:00 Resync, diff a lot of files. Decide specifically which files to diff & backup, and what subset to list.

12:15 Lunch at Wendy's

1:00 Read wpdisp.c

2:00 Map wppage.c, format.c, wpdisp.c. Look at others to see what they do. Dinner at Sea Galllery

- arrive SF Thurs eve after work meaning to bed right away with Mark, which just is not what I want

- Fri, Sat, Sun, Mon with Mark and his old Florida buddies, and two LA guys, none of whom I know at all.

- Would be super crowded. Go skiing during the week!

- Would have to be back Monday night for work Tuesday. Relaxed? No! And then have to catch up on mail, laundry, etc

- Just taking off Friday would be rough, at least awkward and a misuse of valuable time away from work.

- I like Mark, but not to spend 4 days, which at this time are especially valuable.

Are there any positives?

- Tahoe with great scenery

- I like to ski when I'm outa shape.

10:00 But of all these items, the only one I strongly feel is that I don't want to stay with Mark Thursday night after flying down after work. (I must work that day, as Friday would be off.)

10:15 call Mark, out on the line. Call back later. Call Rob Carroll. Leave message. Look through Am Exp statement. Pay it & extra hands. Try Bill Farrell. Not home. Mark calls back. Tell him inability to fly Thursday night due to work. Maybe meet people flying into Reno on Friday eve.

11:00 Get ready for bed.
