Wind N.W. Clear. Ther. 14o Tue. March 24th, 1896

Clear & cold this morning, and indeed all day, a keen N.W. wind blowing. I went up to the mill & to the Store & P.O. Afternoon Willie rode E's bicycle from "Fairfield". Mr A Mathews called for a few minutes and informed us that Charley and little Hallie spent last night at their house and returned to Londonville this morning. Willie rode back with Mr Mathews as far as Brighton. Kate Matthews was here to see me about getting her sister into a hospital in Washington. I went up to the store again towards evening.

Wind. S.E. Clear. Ther. 20o Wed. March 25th. 1896.

Still quite cold. Was telephoned for to go to Chas. T Hill's and to Brighton where I went to see Bowman's child again. I went down to "Fairfield & dined with them. Afternoon Willie came home with me Old Charles Hammond brought us 1 1/2 bushels of potatoes. Annie Hopkins was her for advice & medicine. Bro. Charles called and smoked a pipe with me, Edward went with Willie to "Sherwood" School house to see after the fires. But he is not quite well enough to attend to his School duties as yet. After supper Willie rode the bicycle back to "Fairfield" After supper I went up to the Store & P.O. mailed letter from Edward to Raphiel Jackson & Co New York. Helles Robinson came over to play chess with E.

Wind. S.W. Clear & Cloudy. Ther. Thur. March 26th, 1896

Weather mild & spring like this morning G. "Watt" Bells daughter "Bessie" was here & had tooth extracted. Chas. T. Hill was also here for advice & medicine for his wife and son. I drove over to Unity to see Mrs Baker, calling at Brighton I took Thomas S. Stabler with me & left him there on my return. Edward re painted my office sign, which had become defaced by time & the weather. We had quite a rain about 4.o'clk this afternoon. After which the wind changed to N.W. & it is colder again. I walked up the the P.O. after supper, for the mail.

Wind. N.W. Clear. Ther. 25o Fri. March 27, 1896

Quite frosty again this morning I went up to the store before dinner. Afternoon Thos. S. Stabler was here Willie & Fanny came & remained until after supper. Lizzie Scott called, also Hallie Bentley. Old John was here for me to see a notice he had recd. from the Pensions Bureau, informing him that his application for increased pension had been decided against him.

Wind. S.E. Clear. Ther. 24o Sat. March 28th, 1896.

Edward drove over to "Hollands Corner" & brought Miss Kate Mathews here to spend the day. I took her back before supper time. Willie & Fanny came to supper. A F Fairall Esq came for me after dark & I went with him to prescribe for his infant daughter "Naomie". Called at the store as I came home.

Wind. Rain & Cloudy. Ther. Sun. March 29th, 1896

It commenced raining last night after midnight & continued until about 10.o'clk this morning, but was cloudy all the rest of the day. I went up to A F Fairall,s to see his little daughter again. Thomas S. Stabler came & dined with us Bro Chas, came after dinner. Willie & Fanny went back to "Fairfield" soon after dinner. Perry Bowman sent for me and I rode up to Brighton & prescribed for his son "Howard". & home to supper.

Wind. Variable. Cloudy & Clearing. Ther. 45 Mon. March 30th, 1896.

Rained several showers last night, it was cloudy and fogge this morning. I walked up to the Store & P.O. Afternoon I walked down to Ashton & back. Went over next door to precribe for Mrs Robison. Was called on telephone & rode over to Chas T Hill's to see his infant son again. Willie drove over before supper time & left my phaeton, taking the open buggy back with him. After supper I wend again to Mrs Robisons. Hallie Lea sent H a "setting" of BuffCochin" eggs, which she set under a lien on kitchen porch. Edward commenced going to "Sherwood" again this morning.

Wind. Cloudy. Ther. 50 Tues. March 31st, 1896.

Bro. Chas. & Tom Stabler came about 8.o' clk. this morning and putting my horse "Frank" & Chas Bess" to the phaeton drove to Rockville. Chas T Hill's wife sent for me & I sent word that I would try to come tomorrow. I went up to the Store & P.O. twice. Lizzie Scott was here this afternoon. Bro C & Tom Stabler returned about 4-30. Eliza Green Howard was here for advice & medicine.

Wind N.E. Rain Rain Ther. 42 Wed. April 1st, 1896

It commenced raining last night and has continued all day today. I drove over to Chas T Hill's to prescribe for his infant again through the rain, before dinner. We could see a fire in Rockville about 9.o'clk last night, which proved to have been the stables on the "Fair Grounds", Old Mr Josiah Jones died today, he was one of the oldest and most substantial citizens of the County. Willie & Fanny came over this afternoon to spend the night. I went up to the Store & P.O.

Wind. N.W. Cloudy & Clearing Ther. 45 Thur. April nd, 1896.

I walked up to the Store & P.O. Saw Allan Farquhar in the road. Willie and Fanny went back to "Fairfield" after breakfast. After supper Edward rode "Frank" over to "Sharon"to a "Bicycle Club Meeting", he came home about 11.o' clk. p.m. when the ground was covered with snow.
