47o Clear. N.W. April, Tuesday 26th. 1887.

Geo: Budd (of Daniel) was here for advice & med: before breakfast. Bro Chas came over for his fish, little Nova Stabler with him. Mr. Wm A Hammond the general agent for "Champion" Binders" came & dined here Afternoon C took him in the buggy to see several persons & try to make sales. home to supper & to spend the night here. There was a storm passed north of us about 5 p.m. of considerable violence I went to Dan Bank's to see about the boy "Ellie" for F Tyson. "Bulwar" was here to see me about his little girl in the evening.

49 Clearing. Variable April, Wednesday 27. 1887.

Charley & Mr Hammond left after breakfast in the buggy for "Silver Spring" &c. I rode on horseback to Ashton to see Bulwar's child. Afternoon Nelly and Miss Cooney came to take tea with us & spend the evening. Charley came home about 6.o'clock, having driven nearly to Washington & to Rockville, he left Mr Hammond at "Silver Spring". He & Willie walked home with Nelly & her friend. I walked up to the store in the evening.

60o Cloudy & Rain. Variable April, Thursday 28th. 1887.

I drove to Ashton & prescribed again for Bulwars infant, & drove on to Charles Stabler's to see about hay. called on my return at Mary L Robert's. Charley & Willie went ot Hewett's to fix a "corn planter" Hettie Stabler called in the morning Afternoon Willie went down to Ashton to put up some shelves for Kate S Stabler Rained quite hard, most of the afternoon.

60 Cloudy & High Wind April, Friday 29th. 1887.

Charley left for Rockville & Washington or Georgetown after early breakfast & returned about dark. Willie went to C Stabler's at noon & got 4.65 lbs of hay on the spring wagon. Base Ball in the afternoon at "Sherwood" School House between the boys there & the Brookville Academy boy's.

44. Clear. N.W. April, Saturday 30th. 1887.

Wind blew hard all through last night and continues this morning. Danl Budd's wife was here for advice &c. for her son George. Afternoon Annie Rounds daughter "Carrie" her for medicine (Podophigline Pills) Ernest & Minnie called & brought my carriage home

55 Clear & Cloudy. Variable May, Sunday 1st. 1887.

Beautiful "May morning" Charley went with F. Snowden to Riverside, Dora walked to Edwd Peirce's. Willie was "bicycling" all day with the Washington boys. I drove down to Albin Mitchell's & called at Bulwar's Edwd going with me. Charley came home after dinner & drove over to Junior Jackson's promising to bring his sister home from E Peirces in the evening. Jno Wesley Johnson here for advice &c. also Geo Budd.

60. Clear & Cloudy. Variable May, Monday 2d. 1887.

Charley drove away in the buggy "down county", Jim Jackson brought R Retzer over & left him taking Willie home with him Jenny Proctor here for advice & medicine.

62. Clear. S.W. May, Tuesday 3d. 1887.

I drove to Ashton & bought a well bucket & medicine. Axae Worsey brought Jarrett Lees son "Fletcher" for advice and medicine, and paid me his bill. Charley plowed the garden over again & harrowed & "rubbed" it. Edward went to Ashton with me & called at "Nelly's". After dinner I drove down to Ashton again for garden seeds & groceries. I cleaned up & painted my "force & lift pump". Charley planted seeds in the garden Beans, corn, radish & cabbage.

66. "Haizy" S.E. May, Wednesday 4th. 1887.

Charley & R Retzer went on the buggy to "Hewetts" to "fix" a "corn planter" Lucinda Thomas here for advice & medicine. Edward Commenced going to school again. Afternoon Charley & R E R planted some more seeds in the garden I drove to Ashton for sundries. Bro R called on way to & from meeting. There was a Quarterly meeting at the "little" meeting house. Dora went with the friends from next door.

65o Cloudy & Clearing. Variable May, Thursday 5th. 1887.

A very heavy storm passed north of us after one o' clock last night. Charley and Richd Retzer left at 6.o'clk for Saml Hopkin's or J Jacksons C came home to dinner and brought Willie with him. Afternoon C. drove to Elton expecting to be gone all the rest of the week trying to sell "binders" &c. Charlotte Rounds was here with a felon on her finger. W went to a "base ball" match, at Sandy Spring. I washed & greased the carriage and took the tongue off & put on the shafts again.
