Ther. WED. MAY 6, 1885 Wea.

Left "Nanfeinoy" for "Magnolia" & Baltimore with F. Tyson, took a room at Miller's Hotel and walked around town going out to "Riverside" Park after supper I called at 79 Mc Cullole St to see Sally Coale. getting to the hotel & to bed about 10-30- Extremely tired and worn out

Rain N.E. Ther. THURS. MAY 7, 1885 Wea.

Left Balto at 9-05 & reached home (through the rain) at noon After supper Albin Mitchell brought his wife to me for advice and medicine Cleared off after sun down stars shining brightly at bed time. Charley & Dora expected to have gone to A G Thomas' to a company given to Thos. Moore & wife, but C was not feeling well & his ankle pained him very much, so they gave it out & had some music at home.

65 Cloudy Variable Ther. FRI. MAY 8th, 1885 Wea.

Slept well last night and feel rested this morning, as I only can rest in my own bed and home after an absence of a few days, to make me appreciate them. After beakfast I drove to Ashton and to Mrs Cissell's to see Ernest again & found him down stairs playing on his violin. Old Cyrus Bowers died yesterday & it was I trust a happy release from suffering.

52. Clearing N.W Ther. SAT. MAY 9th, 1885 Wea.

J. Wesley Johnson here and white washed the front fence. Willie & I "tinkered" at the fence between us & the woods. Planted three more rows of "early Rose" potatoes, getting the seed from Jos Stubler (a gift) Willie went to Brookeville to a "base ball" match. Afternoon Helen B Lea called. After store closed at night Charley Frank Snowden & some others went to "Eltere" to spend the night.

58. Cloudy & Clearing Variable Therm. Sun. May 10, 1885 Wea.

Harry Lea's twin boys "Henry" & "John" spent the day here. Millie rode C's bicycle after several "tumbles". Johnny Sedgwick here for advice & medicine. Frank Snowden brought the spring wagon home about dark. Charley came home about 11. p.m. riding the "Fox" horse.

56. Clear. N.W. Ther. Mon. May 11th 1885 Wea.

I drove to Fulford and called at N. Fulford. Millie walked to school. Afternoon Sister Beulah & little Beulah spent the afternoon here. Edwd Peirce & Alice called & spent an hour or two. I took Charley down to Ashton after dinner with Fritz to the phaeton, taking Edwd with me.

45. Clear Windy. N.W. Ther. TUES. MAY 12, 1885 Wea.

Helen B Lea called for advice & medicine, also Wm Hinton & Miss Mary Snowden. Very cool for the time of year. Immediately after dinner I was called in a hurry to P.T. Stablers a young man (a carpenter) having cut his foot very badly. I took Millie with me I dressed the wound which was an "ugly" one extending from "instep" to the end of the great toe of right foot and "to the bone." in depth gaping open two inches at least. After supper Charley drove "Fritz" to the spider to the "Olney Grange." Home about 1. a.m.

50. Cloudy Variable Ther. WED. MAY 13th, 1885 Wea.

Sent the phaeton to Thos Budd's shop & had the tines "re sett" Afternoon Willie & I painted the wheels. I spent some time at the smith shop superintending the setting of the tires of "my phaeton" wheels "Jim" Johnson brought me a cord of oak wood from J J Shoemaker's with his "(Shoemakers)" team to settle Johnsons old account for professional sevices rendered.

47. Cloudy S.E Ther. Thurs May 14, 1885 Wea.

W. walked to school. Alice & Fannie Peirce here before 9.o'clk. Geo Spriggs children here for advice & medicine for their mother. Cousin Ellie Chandlee sent by Alice Peirce one dollar for George Nyevc . I drove to Ashton in spider wagon. Afternoon I sent Willie to look after Jarrett Lea. The "young ladies Society" for the purpose of becoming "Better acquainted." & of which Dora is a member. Met here after supper Charley drove "Fox" over to "Riverside"

62. Clear. S.W. Ther. Fri. May 15th , 1885 Wea.

Willie rode C's Bicycle down on the "Manor" to find Jarrett Lea. Harriet. Dora & Edward went to Fulford and spent the day Afternoon Thos Sills here for advice and medicine for his wife.
