59. Cloudy. S.E Ther. SUN APRIL 26th, 1885 Wea.

Thunder & lightning in the night last night commencing about 1.45 a.m. I slept none until day light. Bro Richard dined with us & after dinner he took Dora up to Fulford. I rode "Fritz" up to call upon the "folks" Charley rod around on his bicycle as long as he could stand it and then he would drive the roan mare awhile, & so on After supper he drove her away some where. Willie walked off over to Riverside before tea. Weather much cooler since about 5. o'clk p.m. when it cleared from N.W. with a blow.

48. Clear. N.W. Ther. MON. APRIL 27th, 1885 Wea.

Delightfully cool & pleasant today. I drove to Ashton at dinner time for C & took him back after dinner after which I took Harriet to Fulford to call upon the friends from "Lawrence" Mass. taking E with us. I drove over to see Josiah Bowen. After tea Charley went with E Chalfont for a bicycle ride on the turnpike towards Brookeville by moonlight. Harry Lea called to say "goodbye" expecting to go in the stage tomorrow morning.

49 Cloudy S.E. Ther. TUES. APRIL 28, 1885 Wea.

Mary Bond, (colored lives at Geo. Spriggs) her for advice & medicine. White girl who lives at Cissell's came for me to go & prescribe for Ernest Cissell I drove over there & to Josiah Bowens. "Uncle Henson" here & worked in garden. Cloudy & threatning all day. After supper a wind storm blew up from N.W. in the midst of which Charley and Dora started off to the "reception" at Jos T Moores' in honor of Thos L Moores' wedding, which took place in Richmond Va a few days since

40. Clear High Wind N W Ther. WED. APRIL 20, 1885 Wea.

Quite cold this morning, the wind continued to blow all through the night & is still blowing at 9 a.m. Charles Jackson here for advice & med. Uncle Henson came again & worked until 4 p.m. we set him to cleaning out the cellar it being too windy to work in the garden. After supper Charley drove "Fritz" to the buggy up to Grange Hall to a dancing party or ball given to Thos Moore & the bridal company. Helen B Lea called about dinner time to see me about her infant daughter.

62. Cloudy. Ther. THURS. APRIL 30, 1885 Wea.

Mrs. Cissell sent for medicine for Ernest. I drove over to Cyrus Bowen's & to Fulford. Annie Chandlee brought cousin Elena Paxson & left her to spend the day. Alice & Fanny Peirce came & spent afternoon Uncle Henson here again. After supper Dora & Willie went to the Lyceum to hear a lecture from Mr McCormas Charley took the roan mare & buggy & took Emma Freeman from Tom J Leas' to Fulford and back again.

63° Cloudy & Rain. E. Ther. FRI. MAY 1, 1884 Wea.

I drove on rode on horseback to see Ernest Cissell and after dinner went to see Cyrus Bowen who is "more poorley." Uncle Henson worked in the garden again. Willie & I painted the buggy one coat & cleaned the "spider wagon" ready for a coat of paint tomorrow. I have exchanged the "spider" for C's buggy he intending to sell the former; since I have something light enough to drive "Fritz" to which was what I bought the "spider" for.

37 Cloudy NE Ther. SAT. MAY 2, 1885 Wea.

Quite cool again this morning with wind from the North & East. I drove the roan mare over to Cyrus Bowen's. Willie went to see Dan Budd about taking the mare to Balto. Edwd's Steam Engine came today and is "all right this time & runs beautifully After tea I walked down to Ashton & got varnish brush & medicine prescribed these for Jackson (a cold: man) & sent medicine to Ernest Cissell.

45° Clear W. Ther. SUN. MAY 3d, 1885 Wea.

I rode over to Mrs. Cissell's to see Ernest again going on horseback. Afternoon Charley drove "Fritz" to "Sunshine" & home to supper. Richd Lea & Hallie called at the gate with "little Tom" for me to examine & prescribe for an irruption on his hands &c. Spent most of the day quietly at home

Ther. M0N. MAY 4th, 1885 Wea.

Drove to Cissell's and prescribed for Ernest and over to see Cyrus Bowen Made some preparations for going to Baltimore tomorrow to take Fredk Tyson's roan mare home

Ther. TUES. MAY 5, 1885 Wea.

Left home driving the roan mare to the buggy for Baltimore taking Willie with me. Arrived at F. Tyson's Mill at 12.30 where we left the mare & went on into Balto. I took W to Camden Station and started him home. I went to F Tysons office and with him out to "Nanfeinoy" to spend the night.
