Types: 101G (P. Printer of Crema, type 1, Haebler 1*) text type with ornate Capitals. No hyphen. Found in the 14(7)5 Munts. 250G (P. Printer of Crema, Type 2, Haebler 2*) large heading type consisting of the capitals of Vind. de Spira 200 G (P3) in combination with a much larger lower case, so far as the Crema shows. Found also (without capitals?) in the 1475 Monte. Measurement approximate.

A6; a-r8; A-R8S6. 284 leaves, 142 +284 blank 2 col. 10a : 40 lines, 212x121mm. Types: 140, title + headings on 7a + 143a (P2) title type indistinguishable from Sorg's P3 + Schonsperger's P4 109 (105) text (P1) Indistinguishable from Sorg's type of the same measurment. In the course of 1489 the body of the type was reduced so that it measures thence forward about 105mm. - Capitals (3a, 3b, 4b, 5) with woodcuts.

The 1st dated book known of Schobsser is 23 May 1487. He continued printing at Augsburg until 1498 when he moved to Munich + was still printing in 1500. - Columbus sailed on his first voyage on August 3, 1492. He was off the coast of Haiti on Dec. 19.

The holy fathers whose lives are described in this work wer the monks of the Thebaid, in the upper part of the Nile Valley + named after its capital. Thebes, which from the 3rd C on was the cradle of Christian monasticism. The monks at first practiced rigorous asceticism + lived as solitaries but later formed a community . HEHL 1497. Schonsperger.
