Printer of Crema, Type 2, Haebler 2*) large heading type consisting of the capitals of Vind. de Spira 200 G (P3) in combination with a much larger lower case, so far as the Crema shows. Found also (without capitals?) in the 1475 Monte. Measurement approximate.

In the course of 1489 the body of the type was reduced so that it measures thence forward about 105mm. - Capitals (3a, 3b, 4b, 5) with woodcuts.

The 1st dated book known of Schobsser is 23 May 1487. He continued printing at Augsburg until 1498 when he moved to Munich + was still printing in 1500. - Columbus sailed on his first voyage on August 3, 1492. He was off the coast of Haiti on Dec. 19.
