Fort Worth Texas April 20th 1900
Hon. Mayor and City Council Fort Worth Texas
Gentlemen, Your Hon Body is probably aware that on our contract with the City of Fort Worth for paving the Al Hayne Triangle we are obligated to give a maintenance bond running five years for $500.00. We can make this Bond through a Guarantee Co who require of us collateral to the amount of $250.00. We offered as collateral a lab in Dallas Texas worth, as per valuation of Thos. F. McEnnis & Co. of Dallas $350.00, this was satisfactory to the Bond Co. We now offer the same collateral to the City of Fort Worth, and will furnish complete abstract of title and will execute a mortgage on the lab in favor of the City to secure the City on the $500.00 bond. Prompt action by the City is requested as we wish to file the bond without further delay.
Very respectfully Brown & Dabney
