Gentlemen: In compliance with you request of this date the following information in relation to lands described is furnished from the records of this office.

STATEMENT OF CONDITION AS TO TAXES

The Taxes on Lot 4 Block 8 of Hirshfield Addition to City of Fort Worth appear on the books of this office to have been paid Up to & including the year 1899.

At next meeting of council a petition will be filed asking council to make quiet claim deed.

To the Hon. Mayor and City Council.

Gentlemen-:

The undersigned respectfully requests your Hon. Body to make an order requiring the Mayor and Secretary to execute a quit-claim deed to him for lot No. 4 in Block 8 of Hirschfields Addition to the City of Fort Worth, because he says that heretofore to wit on the seventh day of June 1897, Suit No. 13,209 City of Fort Worth vs. C. E. & J. T. Rogers for the sum of $ 72.50 City taxes for the year A.D. 1895 due on said lot was instituted in the District Court of Tarrant County and Judgement obtained thereon and said lot was afterwards sold by the Sheriff of Tarrant County Texas by virtue of an order of sale issued on said Judgement to the City of Fort Worth by deed dated Sept. 7, 1897 and recorded in Book No. 136 page 169 in the office of the County Clerk of Tarrant County Tesxas, Record of Deeds.

That afterwards to wit on the 27th. day of December 1899 all of said taxes and costs were paid and in fact all taxes up to and including the year 1899. That the undersigned has since purchased said property. That he has the certificate of the City Tax-Collector & Assessor to the effect that all of the said taxes and costs have been paid. Wherefore he will ever pray as in the premises

Be it Resolved,

We, Your Committee, on Finance to whom was referred the petition of Hyde Jennings asking for a Quit Claim deed from the City to Lot 4 & Block 8 Hershfields Addition after due consideration would recommend That the Mayor and City Secretary be authorized and instructed to execute the Quit Claim as prayed for on payment by Petitioner of the Court Costs and the cost of executing said deed.
