{9}To make Cinamon water after the best manner

Take a gallon and a halfe of the best sack you can
gett or els the best and strongest madera wine and
a pinte of redrose water or halfe a pinte of damaske
rose water, put a pound of Cinamon broken into your
wine, into a pott very clos stopped, let it steepe soe 2.
nights and a day, then distill forth into your lymbeck
beeing close stopped, with a very souft fire, and keepe
the very first comming of it by it selfe, & soe let the
second and third, and this is the perfect making
of Cinamon water.

{10}To make Bauline water

Take 4 Gallons of the strongest Ale you can make,
5- or 6- handsfull of bauline anisseed three quarters
of a pound well bruised of licorish halfe a pound well
scraped and bruised, of ginger a quarter of a pound
and grossely Beaten, of fennell seed a quarter of a
pound grossely beaten of Alysanders grossely beaten
one ounce of Carrawaye seeds grossly beaten - 2 ounces
steepe all these together in the Ale in a vessel close
stopped 2. nights and 2 dayes then distill it, your
lymbeck being very close stopped with a souft fier
at the first & towards the latter ending the fire
somewhat quriter keepe each drawning by it selfe
11 Memorandum that after the order above said, you may make
all sorts of water as of Angelica spearemint wormewood,
or any other hearbes adding thereunto raisons of the
sunne stoned and figgs finely sliced if you please,
also if you will make Aquavite adde those heabes to the
seeds and liquors above written wormewood, southern
wood spearmint, time baulme, pennyriall, lysop, rosemary
tops and blossoms of each a good handfull, cut or
bruised.
