A cloudy windy day. Rain just at night. Jim and Ben worked all day at home. Josie ironed and got dinner.

I went to Long Island with Grace Brumfield. Reese Smith carried us. We fished all day and did not catch any thing. We eat dinner and supper at Mr Peaks. Mr and Mrs Peak was very nice to me and I am very glad for any kindness that is to me.

Mr Mayhew & Mr Irvin Lewis and his mother was fishing. Mr Less Rourks and Beaula brought us home. I hope I have not done any harm to any one to day. If so excuse me.

A beautiful day. Ben and family except Henry went to Mr Jim Powers and Rob Hubbards. Ben & Mr Mayhew & Richard Wooding went to Hubbards. Went to the fish trap but did not get any fish. They got home at dark.

I staid at home most of the day. I went to Marvins. They went to Kate Harveys. I went with them. Kate had company. Dr Wigginton and Pearl, Effie and Hellen Brumfield, Miss Virginia Moses, two of the Farmer children.

I come home and fed the chickens. Brought water and made coffee & baked bread.

A good day. Cloudy in the morning but no rain and we need rain so bad. Jim stripped tobacco all day. Ben shelled some corn & went to the mill. He got his grain ground.

I done all of the feeding of chickens and cows & opossomes. Helped get dinner. Josie made some candy for the school entertainment. Alcie Callands washed for Josie today. She is a good hand. I went to Marvins a few minutes

Jim & Ben went to Willie Mayhews for a hog that Ben bought from Mayhew.

I hope he may have good luck with her. There was to be speaking at the school house tonight. Our folks did not go.

A good day. Jim went to Gretna with tobacco. Solde well for what it was. Marvin went to Gretna today with tobacco. Did not sell so well. Josie worked all day fixin for company. She cooked a posome for supper.

I went to see Earl Bennett & Lizzie Anderson married. I think they had a nice wedding. Gorden & Lizzie and Frances come by here for me & brought me home. I certainly did thank them for the rememberance.

Ben went to Charlotsville with Edna and had a wart cut off of her mouth.

Willie Mayhew & wife come and eat supper with us. Mr Gambol eat supper with us. John come to night.

A very colde morning. The coldest of the winter so far. Ben warmed up his car and got it cranked and carried the barrel of fowls to the island. He had a rough trip. I am very glad that it has bin made. They cut some this evening. It was so colde that no one could do much. Hattie Gilbent washed here today

Josie and I got dinner. We had caned pork for dinner. it was fine Henry went to school We had a letter from Carrie today. I was glad. I miss her so much. Willie Mayhew is here tonight
