District of West Tennessee To
Be it Remembered that on the nineteenth day of March in the thirty fifth year of the Independence of the united States of America William [unclear]B Lewis[/unclear] of the Said District hath deposited in this office the title of a map the right whereof he claims as author in the words following towit
"A new & Correct map of the Mississippi Territory, west Florida, a Small part of East Florida, and Georgia, with all that part of the State of Tennessee west of the Cumberland mountain together with the City and Island of New Orleans by William B. Lewis."
In conformity to the Act for the encouragement of learning by securing the Copies of Maps Charts and books to the Authors & proprietors of Such Copies during the term therein mentioned, and also to an act entitled an act Supplementary to an act entitled an act for the encouragement of learning by Securing the copies of Maps Charts and books to the Authors and proprietors of such copies during the term therein mentioned, and extending the benefits through to the acts of designing engraving and etching historical and other prints.
