Sat. 19 Worked in Ref. Lib. Dull & damp. Anne Dalton had lunch with Anne. To Hart House to see "King Lear". Very good.

Sun. 19 Received 300 h.s. students at U.C. Lunch & talks there. To Cody to hear Godfrey Ridout's music. A. & I to H.H. to hear H.H. Glee club.

Tues. 19 To see Mr. Stone re budget. Press reception at Baldwin House. Beatifully done over. Heavy rain. With Hugh & Joan to "Tosca". Splendid.

Wed 19 Stayed in with cold. Res. Expan. Com. met here. Interviews. Dinner on a tray.

FEBRUARY 27

Sat. 19 Anne & I to library & looked over stores at Ave. Rd. & Davenport. Bob Barr came in. Anne & Hugh out.

19 To church. Mild & raining hard. Heard symphony & "Crit. Speaking." Wrote letters.

Mon. 19 Interview with new student. Alex. lecture - Leon Edel on "Biography". To Pan-Hellenic Banquet & gave scholarship cup.

Wed. 19 To Falconer Hall Advisory Com. Had hair done. Much colder. To library. Initiation Committee.

Thu 19 Graduation Banquet - Walter Gordon spoke. very nice.

FEBRUARY 28

19 To Bloor St. church. Mild & wet. To supper at Mrs. Elliott's. Wrote letters.

Mon. 19 To bank. Began Grant's "Ocean to Ocean". To Luella's for tea. Mild & wet.

19 To Press & went over rest of Essays." Lovely weather. With A. Bolgan to Edel lecture. Dinner at Union. To [Har - crossed out] West Hall to hear A. Truman. nice to see him.

Thu. 19 To Dr. Finlayson for check-up. Dinner at Cody. To Museum - last lecture on Italy - good pictures.

Fri. 19 Anne came early. She to Museum & Zoology Bldg. Talked & talked. Joan & Hugh here for dinner.

Mon 19 Windy & wet. To Ref. Lib to work & shopped. Letter from Donald

Tues 19 Spoke at Tor. YW Centennial luncheon, saw many people, given lovely flowers. Anne & I to "La Traviata." Saw Welsfords.

Thurs. 19 To lecture - very good. Dinner at Falconer & saw Japanese colored slides. Have bad cold.

Fri. 19 To see Principal with my estimates. U.C. Council met. Dinner at Cody. Anne B. in Buffalo.

Sat. 19 Joan & Hugh here all day. Talked & arranged slides. 35-40 people here to see Anne's film & slides. Coffee afterward. Lovely time & very successful.
