4. We’ve identified a number of potential sources of funding and efforts are underway on several of them. Gail Thacher and Martina Grunwald will be meeting with NYC-based foundations and corporations in September.

5. I’ve asked Rob Blitz from the Gallery office to chair a planning group to explore the possibility of producing an interactive CD ROM publication to accompany the catalogue and to stand alone as a research and educational tool. I need your input on this, David. Do you like the idea? Reservations and conditions? I understand that some of your collection is already being scanned?

6. We’ve floated a number of ideas about campus, K-12, and public programs such as lectures, films, courses and seminars, etc. These will be developed in detail during the coming months.

7. Catalogue publisher and distributor. We need to explore possibilities of co-publishing or contracting with a distributor. Specifically, I’d like to know what you think about making an inquiry with Smithsonian Institution Press.
