[--All money goes illegible--]

Special notes:

If I pay for something for a friend by check and then become indebted [insert: to him] as for rent like when I was living with Chip, then I can just apply this check to the debt and pay the difference with another check stating a reference to the other check.

If I get something besides chk/cash in return [insert: for a check] I can deposit my own cash to checking to cover it, or if it was [insert: for] a CASH REIMB, I can just forget it.

If I pay for something for someone in CASH, and become indebted, then I can write a check to myself for CASH noting that it was for payment of the debt, and [--pay--] write a check to [--my--] the person for the difference.

THE PROCESS OF THOUGHT HERE IS THE KEY.

STATEMENTS

[--Seven--?] Now at the end of every bookkeeping period, a CHECKING BALANCE STATEMENT will be produced, showing my agreement with the bank, thus:

Net Income

Less Expenditures ← includes CASH

± CHK REIMB ACCT

TOTAL

Then show all my moneys held by banks. Probably just Wells Fargo Checking and Saving. This should equal the TOTAL. It should be EMPHASIZED that this is a technical requirement and does not show financial standing.

On the back of the CBS should be a statement of Financial Standing, which subtracts the new "boiled down" check register along with outstanding MC, VISA, and AmExp slips (non reimbursable ones only) from the TOTAL computed above WITHOUT the CHK REIMB ACCT included. Then the amount of Cash on Hand should be added, giving how much money I have.
