8^th month 1869

4^th 25 Ben at Camp with wagon & horses
Father took carriage to shop & had
tires cut. I waited on Mother before
dinner. after I helped Clara make
a rustic basket. Clear.

5^th 26 I wormed peach trees till 9 AM.
Then worked in shop. Father up to
Store. Ben at Camp with wagon &
horses. After dinner I went to Uncle
Asas shop & fixed 3 fans for young
ladies. also a fork.

6^th 27 Ben at Camp all day. I helped
Uncle Asa thrash in morn.
Father getting ready for a trip to
Alexandria. After dinner I
worked in shop & went up to
Ashton for Mother.

7^th day 28 Ben brambling I went to Geo Biggles*
& waited on Mother. In the afternoon
I got ready to go to Fair Hill. we
all went at 5.45 and at 7.30 PM
our eyes were delighted by the
sight of rain which came quite
heavily for half an hour. We had
a very pleasant time .

1^st 29 Father & self went to meeting together.
Went to see Henry Farquhar after
dinner. My 18th birth day.
I feel very aged.

I got ready to go to Friar Hill. we
all went at 5.45 and at 7.30 PM
wen our eyes well delighted by the
sight of rain which came quite
heavily for half an hour. We have
a very pleasant time .
