Wind S.E.. Clear & Cloudy. 20o
WED. JAN. 8th, 1896.

Edwd did not reach home until
about midnight. I went down to
the stable after he came and
altogether had a poor night's
rest, and am very rheumatic
and sore today. Went up to
the store & to Fairall's shop,
also to John Oldfield's to have
my riding bridle mended
which was broken in Edwd's
"fly around" last night.
Afternoon Sarah Campbell
& Kate Matthews were here
The former for examination
& treatment.

Wind SE & NE Clear & Cloudy 23o
THUR. JAN. 9th, 1896

Still cold & raw. Chas Hammond
brought us four grown chickens
two of which we killed, as
they escaped in handling them.
Helles Robison shot them for
us with his rifle. I went up
to the store. Afternoon rode
to Ashton & bought a surcingle
for "Franke's" stable blanket.
Mrs. Robison was in to borrow
some potatoes. I am still
feeling stiff and rhuematic in
the mornings, but gradually
become "suppled up" as the day
wears on. Louis Huff (colored)
came (after dark) and had a
tooth extracted. "Gus"Hoskins
came with him. "Moss" Love
came for the school house
keys, to get his skates. Edwd
went next door.
