SAT. JAN. 4th, 1896

Clear & cold with high wind
"Phil" Robison & "Bessie" went to
Laurel to meet Edward on his
return from Philada they drove
"Frank" to Mrs. Ellicott's dayton.
I borrowed six small "loads" of
coal from Saml Wetherald at
the store. Edward and party
arrived at 4-30 p m, almost
frozen. Edwd especially, was
completely chilled through
and was a long time getting
"thawed out". After dark, the
boys (Pul and Frank) took Mrs.
Ellicott's dayton home.
Mrs. Robison came in and
borrowed a bed quilt. it
bids fair to be an extremely
cold night.

SUN. JAN. 5th, 1896

Weather still cold, somewhat
cloudy & looks like snow.
Willie & Fanny came about
breakfast time. I did not
go to meeting, not feeling
very well. Stiff & rheumatic
Edward is getting "thawed out"
after his experience yesterday
in coming from Laurel.
