Ther. 65° Thursday SEPT. 20,th 1894. Wind.

Considerably cooler. Edward seems
much better today but took breakfast
before getting up, being quite weak.
Dora & Ida drove over to Miss Holland's
& back before dinner. Afternoon Bro.
Chas. called. Old uncle Henson was here
to see Charley. Charley & I mended hinge
on stable door, and he & uncle Henson
emptied the garden house tanks. etc, etc.
After supper I walked up to the P.O. and
mailed a letter to Sister Mary in answer
to one recd from her today.

Ther. 66° Friday 21,st Wind

Harriet was quite sick last night and
early this morning, but was downstairs and
about her affairs as usual all the morning.
I drove down to Ashton for some medicine.
Sister Lizzie called to see Ida & the children.
Mr A. G. Matthews came about noon & remained
to dinner. About 2 o' clk. p.m. he took
Charley, Ida & the two babies & their nurse, & started
for "Hazeldene". After they had gone Dora discovered
that the colored child's nurse had
stolen a pair of nearly new shoes of hers, &
no one knows how many other things.
I went to the mill for horse feed, Edwd
went with Frank Robison to P. J. Stabler's in
our buggy to bring Mrs R's flour.
Sally & Mrs Ellicott called this morning.
Edwd went down to "Bloomfield" & paid for the
milk we had been getting for little "Katharine".

Ther. 68° Saturday SEPT. 22d 1894 Wind

Edwd & Dora drove to Brighton to mail a
letter to Charley at "Glenwood", Howard Ca.
I walked to Ashton & rode back with Saml
Bond Sr. Old W. H. Eut & wife were sent out
of the state today. Three inhabitants of Ashton
having"sworn their lives against them"
They were arrested yesterday & have been
in charge of a constable ever since, and
were escorted away by him. Afternoon
cousin Hannah Archer came to make a
little visit. Edwd put up his telegraph
wires again attaching the insulators to
the house instead of to the trees, as heretofore
after leaving the "line poles" across the road.
I went to the store for groceries etc for H.

Ther. 67 Sunday 23d Wind

Rrmus Awkard was here to have a
tooth extracted. Dr Brooke called
before meeting. I went to meeting.
We had sermon from Edwd Farquhar.
Afternoon Edwd took Dora & Hannah Archer
to church at "Crow Town". Dr A. Stabler
& wife & children called whilst they were gone.
I walked up to Henderson's for the papers. F.
Leizear Jr also called to see E before he got
home; they returned to supper: after supper
Fanny Snowden called at the door, but
did not come in.
