Clear
Ther. 70° Sunday SEPT. 16,,th NW Wind

Edward Rode to "Riverside" & brought
the "Bess" mare home with him. I did
not go to meeting Sarah Stabler and
Samuel Thomas called to say good bye
to Sister H. who expects to Return to Philad
tomorrow. After dinner Edwd left for
"Silver Spring" to meet his Bro: Chas & family,
driving "Frank" & "Bess" to the "Surry."
We had quite a wind storm about 5_30
p.m. & it looked as though we would
have a thunder gust but it passed to
the north of us, but is again threatening
but I hope will not catch our folks, they
reached here at 20 minutes after 10
o.clock. when we were very anxious about
them.

Cloudy & Clearing
Ther. 70° Monday 17,,th S.W. Wind.

Sister Harriet left for Laurel & Philada
in the early stage. I drove down to see Saml
Bond Jr. Charley going with me. I was also
called to see Bernard Sheckels at Eut's
& home to dinner. Frank Robison took the
"Bess" mare to "Riverside". & "Phil" cleaned
out the stable & cut some fodder for "Frank"
after supper Charley & I walked up to the
village & I called to see Mr Oldfield.

Cloudy & Rain_
Ther. 70° Tuesday SEPT. 18th,, 1894 S.E. Wind.

I drove down to See Saml Bond
Jr. again calling at Ashton as I came
home Afternoon went to the mill to
see the new "packing machinery" at
work which was just finished. After
supper Dora Edwd & some of the Robisons
went to Mrs. Ellicotts, Edwd expecting to
go on to A. G. Thoma's to a little dance
given to Fred Thomas before he goes to "Swarth-
more" College. Dora & Edward came home
about 10_30 p.m. it commenced raining
quite hard about dark & continued
up to late bed time. Edwd did not go
further than Mrs Ellicotts & came home
with the Rest; all pretty soaked with
Rain.

Cloudy, Rain & Clearing -
Ther. 67° Wednesday 19th Variable Wind

It rained all through last night and
most of this fore noon. Edward had an
attack of "cholera morbus" & remained
in bed all day until suppertime when
he came down stairs. The rain will be
a great blessing, as the country has been
suffering from the extreme drouth, and
most of the wells have gone dry.
Afternoon Charley & I drove over to
see Bro Richard, and called to see
Sister Beulah by our return. I
went to the store both before & after
supper. "John" came in the evening to
see Charley & Ida.
