Clear N.W.
Ther. 60Monday SEPT. 24,th 1894 Wind.

I drove down to Ashton & back before
dinner. Afternoon Dora & Hannah Archer
walked over to "Eldon" & home to supper:
Edwd went to school again, having been
at home since his attack of "cholera morbus"
last tuesday night & wednesday.
After supper J. Fletcher Clark was here
for more medicine (" Zinc wash").

Clear N.W.
Ther. 50° Tuesday, 25,,th Wind

Quite cool this morning & indeed all
day except in the sunshine. I drove "Frank"
over to Fletcher Clark's & had two new shoes
put on his fore feet. I then drove over to
see Tilghman Mitchel about hauling us
some wood that I bought from Fletcher Clark.
Edwd took Hannah Archer to "Olney" this
morning in time to take the stage for
Rockville on her way to Washington.
Afternoon I drove over to see Bro. Richard
again. This has been a beautiful
autumn day, ending with a georgious
sun set sky.

Clear & Cloudy N.E.
Ther. 42° Wednesday SEPT. 26,th 1894 Wind

The coldest morning we have had so
far this fall: it looks & feels as if we would
have a rain storm within twenty four
hours. The boys next door husked some of
the corn on their lot & I carried the fodder
over & put it in the stable. H & I gathered
the dried Lima beans. Alfred Hood
was here & I loaned him my horse to
ride to Olney for a certificate from Dr
Magruder in regard to the death of his
sister, who they wish to bury in Balto:
Co. After supper I went to the store
for the milk. Saml. Bond Jr. came to
consult me after I had gone upstairs to
go to bed: I prescribed for him. Edwd. made
coal fires at "Sherwood" school house this afternoon,
for the first time this autumn.

Cloudy & threatening N.E.
Ther. Thursday 27,,th Wind

Wind blew from N.E. all through last
night, & continues this morning from the
same quarter. It has been threatening rain
"every minute" for 24 hours, but has not
rained as yet. I loaned the horse & buggy to
"Phil" & Frank to go to - Water's for some pears
for their mother to "preserve". Tilghman Mitchel
hauled us one cord of oak, & one of hickory wood,
which I bought of Fletcher Clark. Rain commenced
falling about 2-30 p.m., & bids
fair to make a rainy stormy night.
After supper Edwd went to the school house
to see after the fires. I went with him.
