Willie went again
to Riverside after an early
breakfast to help dig potatoes.
I drove over to
Rachael Thoma's to prescribe
for Amelia Wright
(Geo: Wright's widow) taking
Edwd & Hillias Robison
with me. This is a lovely
autumn day, Edwd & I
gathered some wild flowers
from the road side through
the woods.

Chas Powell (colored) was
here & had tooth extracted
Afternoon Mr "T Huse" from
the Patent Office Washington
was here to see me about
Harry Hastings pension.
Andrew Johnson was here for advice
& medicine. also "Gus"
Bulwar. Willie rode the
mare to Laytonville to a
base ball match. Mrs
Cornelia H Butler called
to see Harriet. After tea
W & I walked up to the
store.
