OCTOBER, SUNDAY 9th 1887.

Beautiful weather but
quite warm, the sun being
hot after dinner. Willie rode
the mare to Mechanicsville
church & to Elton coming home
about dark. The colored folks
dedicated their new church
at "Sharp Street", & passed &
repassed here in "droves" all
day & after night. H & I each
wrote to C and I walked up
& mailed the letter afer
dark including one to Dora
from H. & a postal card from
Elton to Washington. I have
felt quite unwell for the past
few days. having slept little
or none. My circulation is
not good & am nervous &
weak.
