72 Cloudy Variable
July, TUESDAY 19th 1887

We had a very heavy thunder
gust
last night, or this
morning about 2 o'clock, it
was decidedly the heaviest
electric storm we have had
this summer. It was still
cloudy this fore noon & indeed
more or less all day. Charley &
Dora went to "Elton" soon
after breakfast in the road
cart. I took the carriage &
drove over to Stiffler's and
brought home our "squirrel
cage" and a squirrel that
Stiffler had caught for Edwd;
Edwd going with me. I finished
painting the cage.
Willie rode the bicycle down
to Walter Brooke's & back
this afternoon. Walter Scott
called to see Charley after
dusk. fortunately C had not
returned from Elton.

75 Cloudy S. E
July, WEDNESDAY 20th 1887.

Drizzling, early this morning
and only partly cleared off
for a short time during the
day. We expected Charley &
Dora home at least this
morning. but they have not
yet returned at bed time.
tonight. I did not go from
home at all today, & passed
the time reading. Charley &
Ernest came about 10-30
p.m. (from Elton) for advice &
medicine for Miss Fannie Rust
and went back again.
