JULY, THURSDAY 21st 1887.

I drove to [Elija] Leizeanrs
(Willie with me) and was
caught there in a heavy
thunder storm which kept
us there until near dinner
time, the was some heavy
thunder & lightning and I
have seldom seen it rain
harder. Afternoon Isaac
Hartshorne called to see
Charley, who came home
bringing Dora with him
about 4.o'clk p.m.
Annie Rounds Budd called
& paid her bill.

JULY, FRIDAY 22. 1887.

J Henderson's man called
me up to borrow a set of
harness. Roland Moore was
here for advice & med for his
wife Ernest also came down
to consult me for "Minnie".
Willie rode bicycle to "Muncaster's
& Luther came home
with him. I was called next
door to take a large splinter
from Hillia's foot. Willie and
Luther Muncaster went over
to Leizear's for the butter.
After tea they went to Ashton
for "base ball" Arthur
Stabler called to see Charley
Richd. Retzer came to mill
& came down & took lunch
with us. Alice & Fannie Peirce
were here & took Dora home
with them to spend the
night. I wrote to Thos H
Borden. Muncaster to stay
all night here. The thermometer
has registered about 80° at bedtime
for a numer of nights but
tonight it is 84° & threatning a "gust."
