JUNE, THURSDAY 23d 1887.

Rained several times
during last night & is still
cloudy & threatning this morning.
Elijah Leizear was here
before I was up. I drove over
to see his wife & meet Dr
Martin in consultation at
11-30 a.m. Charley drove
over to Mahlon Kirks before
dinner. Afternoon he &Willie
went to "Elton" to spend the
night & attend a little party
at Mr Griffith's. A Chandlee
called & got 1/2 dozen "sections"
for mowing machine. I went
to the mill for flour. Recd
letter from Mrs. F Tyson.

JUNE, FRIDAY 24th 1887.

Clear & beautiful day.
Wm Lea came & took away
the "Champion steel frame
binder." quite a number of
persons were here enquiring
for Charley who is still up
at Elton and was to have been
at home early this morning but
did not return until supper
time this evening and talks
of going up there again tomorrow.
After dinner I drove
to Ashton. Geo Parsley, a boy
from Mahlon Kirk's, Elger
Hallowell & Mr Holland
were here besides others
to see Charley whilst he was
absent.
