Rained all night and until about 8 o'clk
this morning. Went to office and to store
afternoon Dora and I went on horseback
to Kate Winfield's and to Fulford.
After tea Jimmy and Ed Jackson called.
Rained again in the evening.

Cloudy Thursday Oct 31st Windy
Built small corn crib in the hay-mow
P.S. Stabler brought me two barrels of
corn (on the cob). Cold, cloudy windy and
disagreeable weather, more like
late fall or early winter than any
we have had so far. Afternoon went
to the office. Charley went to Leawood
Mills after tea. Wrote to sister Harriet.

Went to office: bought patent mouse
trap Afternoon mended barn roof and
went to S.S Sent Israel to Scotts
and brought home two barrels of yellow
corn in the ear @ $2.50 pr: barrel.
After tea went (with Charley) to the
[Lycerine?] to hear Mr McCordas make
a political speech. Went to bed
late

Went to office. Martha Wright called
for advice and medicine Also Mary
Hardesty took Bro Chas: from [Ashton?] home
to Riverside
