Went to P.S Stabler's and Geo Sprigg's
Beautiful morning cloudy in afternoon
commenced raining after dark.
Man from the [masses?] here after dark
for medicine for Walter Stewart
Charley went with Jno Bentley and the Scotts
to Wall's X Roads, to a musical entertainment
did not get home until nearly
mid night through the storm.

Wednesday Oct 23rd High wind Rain
Terrible torm of wind and rain last
night and until about 10 o'clock
this morning. Slept little or none
Did not rise until late
Went to P.S. Stabler's. Afternoon
went to see Walter Stewart (on the
Manor- also to Washington Murphy's
More or less windy all
day- clearing off cold about
sundown.

Went to Kate Winfields and
to office. Extracted tooth for Neal
[Awkard?]. Afternoon sent to WH
Farquhar's for 10 bushels of oats
Went to Rodney Boswell's
Geo: Sprigg sent 3 chickens and
got medicine for his wife
Ed and Jim Jackson spent part of the
evening here.

Clear. Friday Oct 25th
Fanny Lea Dickenson called. I took Harriet
Dora and Edwd: to Fulford and left them to spend
the day. Went to the office, dined alone.
[Mifs?] Bradley with one of [Bay?] Miller's
children called. Afternoon went
to Fulford and took tea, bringing the folks
home about dusk. Ed Bentley called.
