The "Hortulus Animae" or Pleasure Garden of the soul, is a type of devotional book developed in Germany, similar to the Book of Hours of the Middle Ages. In its printed form it starts in the Incunable period, many ed were printed throughout the 16th C, all different. THe type gradually changes to a particular Protestant form
