Dear Sir: -
I have examined your lot as requested the myrtle grave is in bad condition and I would advise removing it and sodding over the spot, the expense of which will be three dollars ($3.00).
The sod is in fair condition at present and hardly in immediate need of renewing but if it is desired to do so the expense of regrading, enriching and resodding the whole lot will be forty eight dollars ($48.00).
Respectfully yours

Dear Sir: -
Your note is received. So many complaints were made as to dead flowers spotting the grass that we have them removed as soon as decayed. I cannot find the particular wire frames removed from your lot but there are a great many now in our yard near the engine house.
[Respectfully yours?]

Dear Sir: -
Your note is received. The name stone you desire to place in front of the lot requires an underground foundation and by building that now the work of regrading can proceed at once.
In ordering please say how far the stone will go in the ground.

George Wm. Bond, Esq.,
Jamaica Plain, Mass.
Dear Sir: -
The cost of scraping and painting with two coats of black paint the fence on your lots #156 and #158 will be thirteen dollars ($13.00), if one coat of asphaltum paint is used the cost will be ten dollars ($10.00).
That part of the fence around lot #158 is broken and will soon require considerable repairs to keep it sightly. The fence on the Edes lot enclosed with your lot #158 is also in bad condition and they are I am informed considering the question of removing it which if done will leave one end of lot #158 open and I cannot see that any part of the fence to be removed can be used to finish out that left in a satisfactory manner. In view of that would you care to consider the question of removing the whole fence which I think would improve the appearance of the lots very much.
Respectfully yours,
Sup't.

Mrs. Wm. E. French,
Boston.
Dear Madam: -
I have examined your lot and think that it is now to far into the Summer to make the repairs you propose, but if you desire they can be made towards the end of September.
The whole turfing of the lot is poor and when repairs are made I think the whole should be regraded, enriched and resodded.
The myrtle on the graves will have to be entirely renewed the expense of which will be twenty four dollars ($24.00). Myrtle is very uncertain and at best looks well, but a short time, so that many of our proprietors are ordering it removed and the graves sodded over.
Only lots under perpetual care are watered, if ordered on a lot under annual care the charge is seventy five cents for each watering not less than one hour.
The repairs to the gate can be done now if desired. The fence is not in the best condition and I would suggest that its removal would improve the appearance of the lot.
Respectfully yours,
J.W. Lovering Sup't.
