Light Fruit Cake 5 lbs
2 1/4 c sifted Swansdown flour
1/2 tsp Calumet Baking powder
1/4 tsp cloves
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1/2 lb butter or shortening
1/2 lb light brown sugar
5 eggs, well beaten
1/4 lb candied cherries (or Maraschino)
1/4 lb candied Pineapple
1/2 lb dates or figs cut
1/2 lb raisins
1/2 lb currants
1/4 lb citron, sliced thin
1/4 lb candied orange & lemon peel
1/4 lb nuts, chopped
1/2 c honey
1/2 c molasses
1/4 c cider, brandy, wine, or grape juice

Sift flour once, measure
add baking powder & spices
sift together 3 times. Cream
